If any of the encountered classes in the comparison are listed in the Set, and the class has a custom .equals() method, it will not be called and instead a deepEquals() will be performed. If the value associated to the IGNORE_CUSTOM_EQUALS key is an empty Set, then no custom .equals() methods will be called, except those on primitives, primitive wrappers, Date, Class, and String.
