Button Input Question

I am trying to write a macro for use in Pokemon Scarlet / Violet. What I want to do it have my ride pokemon run faster by pressing the left stick while still keeping the stick at 100% in any direction. Could someone please help provide an example of how to keep the stick in one position and click it quickly without moving the direction of the stick? have tried using this example but I can't seem to get it to work without letting go of the position the stick is in.
