include apache age

Overview

Would be nice to include the apache age extension for graph database.

Apache AGE is an extension for PostgreSQL that enables users to leverage a graph database on top of the existing relational databases. AGE is an acronym for A Graph Extension and is inspired by Bitnine's AgensGraph, a multi-model database fork of PostgreSQL. The basic principle of the project is to create a single storage that handles both the relational and graph data model so that the users can use the standard ANSI SQL along with openCypher, one of the most popular graph query languages today.

Use Case

Useful for querying/analyzing data of graph nature.

any updates here? we're comparing possible operators just now and are most probably in need for a graph database. that would be a big "pro" here :)

btw @kindlychung have you tried to follow the official procedure to install the age package inside the crunchy container: https://age.apache.org/age-manual/master/intro/setup.html ?

here is an example of how to install timescaledb in crunchy (which btw @dsessler7 is timescale already supported natively in the crunchy image or is the custom image still needed?) #2193

i have tried to compile the AGE extension into the container but cannot do that as the postgresql C headers are not available:

Makefile:130: /usr/pgsql-14/lib/pgxs/src/makefiles/pgxs.mk: No such file or directory
make: *** No rule to make target '/usr/pgsql-14/lib/pgxs/src/makefiles/pgxs.mk'. Stop.

cannot install them either:

microdnf --disablerepo=crunchypg14 install postgresql-server-devel
error: No package matches 'postgresql-server-devel'

Edit: I was not sure where to start with the docker build but a similar challenge with the CloudNativePG extension lead me to a recipe for building a docker image with the AGE extension but not sure to what extent it will help here - mentioning in case it helps someone to find a solution. I left a note about it here
