Ever wonder who created a new channel on your server? Or who the person who banned a troublesome user was? Have no fear, Audit Logs are here to tell you who did what on your servers!
So, where can you find Audit Logs? Inside the server settings, there's a tab labeled Audit Logs.
NOTE: You can only view Audit Logs if you have either the View Audit Logs or the Administrator permissions.
Once you've clicked the Audit Logs tab, you'll be greeted with something that looks like this:
So, what does this all mean? Well, whenever a user performs an action, it is logged in the Audit Logs for up to ninety days and they cannot be deleted or edited by any user. The following actions are logged in the Audit Logs:
- Bot Additions
- Channel Creation, Deletion, and Updates
- Channel Permission Creation, Deletion, and Updates
- Emoji Creation, Deletion, and Updates
- Integration Creation, Deletion, and Updates
- Invite Creation, Deletion, and Updates
- Member Kicks, Bans, Unbans and Prunes
- Member Role and Nickname Updates
- Member Disconnections and Moves
- Message Pin, Unpin and Deletion
- Message Bulk Deletions
- Role Creation, Deletion, and Updates
- Server Updates
- Webhook Creation, Deletion, and Updates
For many of these actions, further details are given by expanding the given tab.
And, in case you're trying to find a specific action, or an action done by a specific user, have no fear! Discord gives the option to filter the results given by both of these options!
Once you're finished viewing all the Audit Logs you want to see, you can either click the circle with the X in it, or hit the Escape Esc key.
