Task(s):

Environmental Pollution

In Exercise 1, you collected/measured trash you threw away during the week. We will do a
bit of a retrospective exercise about reducing the production of our trash. Look back
at the articles that were in your jar of trash, and try to list out the following:

  1.  Which of these articles could you have avoided purchasing in the first place?
  2. Which of these articles that you have thrown away could have been repurposed into
    something more useful, hence prolonging its life, reducing raw material extraction, and
    waste production?
  3. In what ways is it possible to restructure/redesign the supply chain of the product of which
    this waste is a byproduct, so that waste never even produced in the first place?
