This might be a choice but if you change the default language it does save it, but the rest of the site stays in whatever language it currently has.
I think if you change the default language and click "Save" the site should change the currently displayed language (like it does on the language selector on the nav menu) to whatever the default is set to?

I could see scenarios where the current user is working with the detected
language the site is providing, say Spanish, and they are working on a site
for their team in France.
Can we split the difference and add a checkbox to trigger a change in the
displayed language if it isn't the same as the selected language?
This is another good candidate for a Playwright test
