Hide hover interface on Video Element #3740
-
I would love to have a video act like gif and not have any controls, pause, play or volume. Removing controls in spoke takes away pause and play, but volume is still active on hover. The video I am using does not have an audio track. I have tried putting a wall element in front of it and rotating it to the invisible back-faced culled side, but the hover mute still activates. Any help would be helpful! |

Once again, posting the question made the answer suddenly manifest itself. I was able to turn off the controls by switching the video to Spherical Equirectangular and adjusting the video size to be in a particular spot on the sphere. It is not perfect, but what you add in a little curvature, you lose the distraction of the user's gaze cursor triggering the volume settings. |

You can also create a transparent object and place it over the video , the cursor will hit the invisible object first , so the cursor doesn’t get a chance to react to the video and bring up the media controls. |
