miscdoc.sty should be put in doc folder

TeXLive puts miscdoc.sty file in the doc folder:

RELOC/doc/latex/captdef/miscdoc.sty
RELOC/doc/latex/sansmath/miscdoc.sty
RELOC/doc/latex/tabls/miscdoc.sty
RELOC/doc/latex/threeparttable/miscdoc.sty
RELOC/doc/latex/titleref/miscdoc.sty
RELOC/doc/latex/truncate/miscdoc.sty
RELOC/doc/latex/underscore/miscdoc.sty
RELOC/doc/latex/url/miscdoc.sty
RELOC/doc/latex/varwidth/miscdoc.sty
RELOC/doc/latex/vruler/miscdoc.sty

But MiKTeX puts miscdoc.sty file in the tex folder:

texmf/tex/latex/captdef/miscdoc.sty
texmf/tex/latex/sansmath/miscdoc.sty
texmf/tex/latex/tabls/miscdoc.sty
texmf/tex/latex/threeparttable/miscdoc.sty
texmf/tex/latex/titleref/miscdoc.sty
texmf/tex/latex/truncate/miscdoc.sty
texmf/tex/latex/underscore/miscdoc.sty
texmf/tex/latex/url/miscdoc.sty
texmf/tex/latex/varwidth/miscdoc.sty
texmf/tex/latex/vruler/miscdoc.sty

Therefore there are 10 files with the same name.
