Contour Next One

What is the hardware type of Contour Next One? I see in README.md that it is supported. However, when I go to 'Start Source Setup Wizard' and enter each of the three options, I don't see a mention of Contour. I also reviewed the device's manual and online docs to see if they mention a hardware type, but haven't found one.

I searched Discussions and this repo, but I haven't found something to connect brand names and models to their underlying hardware type. A newbies entrypoint would be very helpful for this app, and if I get the app working I'll submit a PR for a NEWBIES.md.

You should find it in xDrip -> Settings -> Glucose Meters -> Use Bluetooth Meter then also use Scan for Bluetooth Meter

Thanks for responding. In Scan for Bluetooth Meter, I found the Contour, tapped it, app made happy noises. The meter doesn't appear in my Samsung S20+'s list of paired devices, fwiw.

And, the 'Use Bluetooth Meter' toggle isn't switching to On. So I tried quitting-restarting the app (no change). Then I cleared the app's cache and data from Android Settings (which puts the app into newly installed state), and then scanned again, found the meter, tapped it. Still not able to get 'On' for Use Bluetooth Meter. App doesn't do anything when I insert a strip into the meter.

I also added as many relevant permissions to the app as found: Camera, Files and media, Location, Nearby devices, and Physical activity. No permish specifically named Bluetooth appears.

Any ideas appreciated.

The meter wasn't pairing. Turns out I hadn't held the power button long enough, as mentioned in the device's docs: it must be flashing blue.

Now it has paired, transferred the log of past readings, and syncs new readings (if the phone is in range.)
