When I'm logged in and visit the domain, I am sent to the communities page. I suspect that most users would want to view offers first but I'm not sure if it's better for them to go straight to a list of offers or if it's better that they choose a community first.

This is a bug in the app. It can be fixed along the lines of ditup/ditup-solid@2b75df4
