With more machine usage states being tracked by Spaceport (see below) it would be great if there was some way (manual? automagical?) for some people (admins? trainers?) to tag the machines as "out of service", instead of hoping for people to put up a timely and informative forum thread.
The tagger's name, timestamp and a reason or a link to the forum thread would be a nice addition.
What might be some reasonably straightforward ways to achieve this functionality?
