Use extend suppor/index.js with custom commands

Hi, I want to extend the global before and add two different accounts after synpress finished setting up metmask. I tried to include a before command, as outlined by the cypress doku (https://docs.cypress.io/api/plugins/before-spec-api#Syntax) in the cypress/support/index.js file, but it seems, that synpress is not importing said index file.
I was wandering, if someone ran into a similar issue?
