Lower third vs Full Screen template output

One issue I thought of when mockup up the moderator and host interfaces is that some posts are well suited for a lower third. Twitter for example. Others are not such as long posts on Facebook. Would be neat if the system could count the number of characters and then determine if the graphic belongs in a lower third template or full screen template, each of which is set in the admin section.
