Keybind / method set width to "fill rest of screen"?

I have a fairly unique requirement: I am streaming Factorio gameplay using niri, which requires me to make Factorio exactly 1920x1080. This part I have solved already, but what I would like to set obs' width to fill the rest of the screen space.

I understand that this kind of thing is usually better served by i3/sway, but I can't use sway because it doesn't support pipewire window capture. Is there a way I can accomplish this?

I would imagine something like fill in addition to the existing proportion and fixed layout rules.

I thought about this. The question here is, what happens when there's more windows on the workspace. E.g. in this case, do you want it to fill only to the right of the screen, or also fill so that the left window disappears?

What if you want to fill in such a way that there are 3 windows on screen? What does the key bind action parameters look like?

Could either be set-column-width fill or fill-column-width. I definitely think fill fits in the name.

There's one case that I wish to have a somewhat similar "fill" option when there is only two windows opened, for the left one is some source code I'm editing and the right is the compiled result displayed (see as the following screenshot), and I may want the displayed result being wider.

Right now I'm doing it by decreasing the width of the left and increasing the width of right, it might be quite convenient to have an option that simultaneously decreasing one's width and increasing the other.

I think this might also be doable for the cases when multiple windows are opened in current screen, what we do is when we altering the width of a focused window, then the window(s) on the right column next to it should be resized accordingly so that all windows that opened will not be out of screen. And this brings some convenience of a traditional tile wm behavior to niri.

I understand this, but I'm not sure how this could be added into niri without making it very complex (both UX-wise and code). So I think a "fill the rest of the screen" action is a good start here which is simple.
