Hello,
First, THANKS FOR LaserGRBL!
2nd: I was doing some lasering of a black on white text on my 3018...
The "problem" is that the laser has a non linear response to the PWM output of grbl, so even though grbl is suposed to "tune down" the laser when slowing down, such as at the end of each raster line, it does not work well because grbl uses a linear reduction...
I see 2 ways to fix this:
1: fix grbl (adding a non linear response table, which will need a LOT of tuning and will difear for each setup). Plus, this is not your problem :-)
2: add a "white period on each raster line" option to LaserGrbl. With this turned on, an extra movement of a user selectable lengh would be added at the start/end of each line which would give the time for the cnc to slow/down/reverse gear and, in effect, hide the problem.
Is this something that you could concider adding to LaserGrbl?
Thanks,
Cyrille
