Filter out Station Parameters that have no Data

OM3 displays all parameters that a station has ever had data for, even if it can no longer collect that parameter type. This results in most stations showing "no results" all the time. This task serves as way to get it on the books for future discussion.

Is there currently any way to determine if a parameter is just out of date vs. not collected anymore? All of the error messages I've seen from scidap say "No x data available for this date range", but maybe I'm not testing stations w/ actual invalid parameters?

There's a way for CO-OPS stations at least. The service used to harvest (Sensor Observation Service) lets you query for "Active" stations, but NOAA only seems to keep track of the active status of certain params.
