Hi, does anybody know, whether new-lg4ff supports the optional Logitech Driving Force Shifter ( https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/products/driving/driving-force-shifter.941-000119.html ) that can be attached to some Logitech wheels like G29 or G923? I'm considering buying one, but first want to know, whether there is any Linux driver support for this shifter. While I didn't find any reports explicitely stating that the shifter doesn't work on Linux I also just found one older report claiming that it does work. Would be good to at least know the driver support status before shelling out 50$ for that shifter. :-) Thanks! |

I had three-four years ago G29 + this shifter on Archlinux and it was working. |

It doesn't even need to be recognized as a device. It connects to the wheel base and just adds more buttons to the wheel. It would work even without Logitech drivers, like the other buttons. It will depend on where you live, but here it goes frequently on sale below 40€ or even as low as 30€. I bought mine 6 years ago for 35€. |

Thanks for the answer @dinuxlt @berarma . That was fast. As I also wasn't able to find details whether the shifter shows up as a seperate USB device, adds buttons to the wheel or is doing some other strange things, indeed I wasn't sure whether new-lg4ff is the right place for that question at all. Yes, indeed here (Germany) there are also occasional sales where you can get the shifter for 30-40€. |

I think this shifter is detected as HID device and
new-lg4ff
driver here is not needed.
