Tolerances on tests too large #85

At present the tolerances on the tests are way too large. Users will expect values that do not deviate significantly from accepted values. Also using an absolute value tolerance of 1e-4 for some of the tests is not correct. All tests using approx should have an rtol of 1e-15.
