This is a separate, but related point to #25 - there's arguably a bug that currently exists in the API when issuing a stop command.
In short, it doesn't update the state variable. It should. I'd argue that the only correct state would be to set the state to open. That's the safest and most reasonable setting.
Given state is currently binary in Bond, by definition whenever you issue a stop command you are leaving something open, or incomplete.
