To install on windows, you will need: 

Python 2.7

choose the Windows x86 (32 bit) MSI installer. Don't get the 64 bit
version, even if your windows is 64 bit.

Then, do something like:

mkdir c:\Anmr
move arduinoCode C:\Anmr\
move avrdude c:\Anmr\
move bin c:\Anmr\
move Icons C:\Anmr\
move PulsePrograms C:\Anmr\

Then edit c:\Anmr\bin\anmr_platform_win.py and ensure that the
SOX_EXEC, AVRDUDE and AVRDUDE_CONF symbols point to right programs.

If all went well, you should be able to double click on the Anmr.py, 
FuncGen.py or Shim.py icons. (There are some shortcuts provided too).

You have the option of using hub4com and com0com to create a virtual
serial pipe that allows quicker response at the start of each data
set. To use these, install com0com, setting up a COMn-COMn port pair
(ie uses the 'ports' class), and the install hub4com and ensure the
path to it is correct in anmr_platform_win.py
