The private chat room is automatically opened once a private message arrives or a game is opened. If later a message arrives on this channel, the user is not informed.

Also switching automatically to a game chat when you start spectating is pretty annoying, I much prefer Treff's approach where you remain in a unified chat which contains subchats you can send and receive messages to.

@Brotherbag While I obviously prefer that too, this issue was posted with functionality in mind. It should work, but the convenience is up to the implementing person. You are free to use the fork though ;)
