I should be able to cast provisional votes on credit. The votes still have to be approved before they count, but this lowers the barrier to participation for new users. Vote when you want, pay later.

So how would the user story be if someone provisioned votes on numerous kegs? When they get votes what would determine which provisioned votes become actual votes?

I think it's the case of making it easier to say you've paid, that would speed up the process of getting votes?

The use case is that you are simply delaying payment for your votes so it
wouldn't really make sense to only fund some of them. I'd say that you must
pay for all the votes you provisioned, and if you change your mind you
cancel the old votes and make new ones.

I don't know if I understand this question, but I think the answer is no.
The point is to vote first and pay later, so that it's more like a typical
low-overhead internet transaction. Amazon doesn't require you to add points
to an Amazon account before you shop, they just require that when they
actually ship the goods you have provided an adequate payment method.

So it seems like maybe the idea of a shopping cart, with you adding votes ("adding to cart") and then donating ("checkout cart") could be the process you are thinking of? Except, make the "shopping cart" public? Seems like a good idea.

I will add that that way would add more engagement to non-donators, and hopefully make them donate.
