GNOME settings reports network link as 705 Mbps for any connections past 2.5 Gbps

This is a funny one, and made me return two perfectly good and brand new 10 Gbps copper Ethernet switches 😔 , and also write scathing reviews of perfectly fine switches and Ethernet dongles. Tested in 42770 and 42790.

I should mention that I have no way of testing the actual network speed, but only suspect that the actual speed is fine. The switches themselves report the connections as 10 Gbps (and 5 Gbps, depending on the dongle).
