The Arduino IDE is able to handle - in filenames since version 1.5.7. See the release notes for the respective changelog.

As this release is now almost 8 years old and there have been many updates since then we will not fix this by removing all hyphens from our library but maybe we can provide a note on this issue in our documentation.
