I've used just a couple of apps from GitHub now and they've all come with windows binaries (.exe). Freewheeling sounds like a nice software package and I would love to try it out on my multiple Windows devices. However, I was puzzled to find Windows not mentioned in the list of OS-specific packages. I'm trying to make sense of this and can think of a few possibilities as to what the situation is:

  1. None of the users of this software have so far been Windows users and thus a Windows-specific package has not been created due to no requests
  2. It is assumed knowledge among the developer community that one of the existing OS-specific packages will work as-is on Windows systems
  3. Windows users are required to compile it themselves
  4. It was never intended for this software to be run on any Windows systems or the Windows OS is hostile to this software
  5. Something else?

Can someone please clarify what's required to run Freewheeling on Windows?
