we can set up testing for the notebooks following: http://minrk-nbconvert.readthedocs.io/en/latest/execute_api.html

the testing is started, but there seem to be issues with numpy versions (or something!) I can run the test locally, but so far no luck on travis https://travis-ci.org/ubcgif/em_examples
