conversion = auto gives a type error

As per the gemBS call docs, it should be possible to set conversion = auto - however this does not work.

This (conversion = auto) is used in the IHEC standard config present in the documentation - which is how we came across this issue.

It seems that this IHEC standard config from the documentation is outdated compared to the corresponding config in the Github repo. The Github version uses conversion = 0.01,0.05 instead of conversion = auto
