Extension fails when I try to use it with a very large JSON file

When selecting '"JMESPath: Evaluate Expression" in the context of a large JSON file (~ 1.3 million lines) rather than presenting the field to enter the expression, an error dialog pops up with the following:

Command 'JMESPath: Evaluate Expression' resulted in an error
Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'document')
