Using on 3.60
After backing up, my database was sadly randomly rebuilt after all my work
I was hoping that the backup will sort my layout but when I tried to restore, I got a crash

By restore do you mean restoring a loadout or a backup? You could try to manually restore your backup from ux0:/data/VITAHomebrewSorter/Backups/ through VitaShell. But it only creates a backup if you use the sorting option.

I backed up a loadout and tried to reload it and it crashed
