Why does this app needs a new logo?

I think this app would have lot more attention in stores etc. if it would have a more modern logo.
Sure, the current logo is great, but a more specific logo, that users reminds of this app would be much better.
Just take a look at the android logo, it is currently just a shape on a plain blue background.

Thank you very much for the suggestion. Personally I am fine with the logo as it is now, though I like the one you're suggesting (though the checkmark placement looks a bit off).

You could maybe take the current one and add a color gardient?
Btw, why is there a gray background in the uwp version?

I would like it if you fix that, because it destroys my taskbar look a bit.

Hm this looks there is something wrong with the windows store icons. Help with that would be welcome, as I don't have much experience with windows uwp apps. I wouldn't maybe add a gradient as it further creates more problems regarding different backgrounds than a single color does.
