Setup for Chromebook

fish shell

sudo apt-get install fish
sudo chsh -s $(which fish) $(whoami)
# install fisher + fzf

sudo apt-get install fzf
fisher install jethrokuan/fzf
# install starship
sudo su root
curl -sS https://starship.rs/install.sh | sh
# add `starship init fish | source` to ~/.config/fish/config.fish

java / scala / sbt / gradle / groovy / kotlin

# install zip
sudo apt-get install zip
# install sdkman + modify .bashrc/.zshrc
curl -s "https://get.sdkman.io" | bash
# (for fish)
fisher install reitzig/sdkman-for-fish
# install java
sdk install java
# install gradle
sdk install gradle
# install kotlin
sdk install kotlin

Visual Studio Code

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install -y gnome-keyring
# download correct deb pkg via https://code.visualstudio.com/download
dpkg --print-architecture

Sideload Android Apps

sudo apt-get install android-tools-adb
# Open "Developer Android apps" setting, turn on "Enable ADB debugging".  Shutdown and restart.
# Launch "Files" app, select folder and "Share with Linux".  Enable "Show all Play folders" for Android folder.
