FScott: In my browsing through the CLL to try to understand various matters lojbanical, I stumbled at example 18.113 (page 435) (& in the UnCLL v1.2.15 (page 429). The example's final line is:
30,000,000 = 3 × 10 ^ 8
So far as I understand simple arithmetic & the structure's intention, the '3' in its penultimate line:
the-number (RP!) 8, (3, 10, null-op), exponential-notation.
is not intended to be read as '0.3'.

If that understanding is correct, then said final line is missing a '0'. It should be:
300,000,000 = 3 × 10 ^ 8
& the 2nd line of the example should be:
The-number 300-comma-comma equals
Alternatively, all lines would be correct if all instances of '8' were replaced with '7'.
