Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
My request does not come directly from an issue, but there is one thing that simply bothers me and cannot be permanently adjusted.

Describe the solution you'd like
It is possible to set the "full width" to be used for each page. This works well up to a certain point, but at some point it always resets itself and I have to check it again.
I would like to have a global setting so that “Full width” can be set as the default setting and then the full width is automatically used for every page.

Describe alternatives you've considered
I have tried several times to find out when this setting resets per page, but I haven't found out yet.

Dear @MWL1701, thanks for your report.

This works well up to a certain point, but at some point it always resets itself and I have to check it again.

I'd like to understand why this happens and fix it instead of adding another config option to work around it. Do you have any pattern i mind on when this happens?

Please note that until Collectives release 2.13.0 the page width was persisted in browser storage, so it had to be adjusted separately on each browser and device. Starting with Collectives release 2.14.0, the page width is persisted in the database and the setting is global for all users. So setting a page to full width once should be sufficient for all users on all devices and browsers. Could it be that the inconsistencies you experienced were with Collectives 2.13.0 and below?

Hi,
thanks for the feedback and sorry for the delayed response.
I was on a business trip last week.

At the time I wrote the issue, I had manually set all my pages to “Full Width” once.
I just wanted to wait and see when it would change again on its own.
So far, everything is still clean.

And I'm very happy that it should work better this way than that there should be a global setting. I like that.
I would ask you to just keep the issue open and I'll update with new findings if it changes.
I hope that's okay with you.
Kind regards
