Hi @nt-williams,

Thank you for all your incredible work on this amazing package! I was wondering if it might be possible to make mediators an optional parameter in the future? Similar to tmle3mediate or causalweight —leaving M empty allows the mediation analysis function to return the ATE/total effect directly, which would greatly streamline workflows, allowing users like me to avoid switching between different packages for different estimation tasks within a single study...
