Allow public to see stats for one or all links?

I have installed and used this to create a few shortened links.

Now 1 one these shortened links is for say a friend.

He wants to be able to see the traffic stats for this link.

I gave him the stats link (with the + on the end)

He clicks it and is asked to login. But obv he doesnt have credentials as he just wants to see stats as a member of public.

So i dont want to give hime my credentials.

So what do i do?

All statistics pages can be made public using the YOURLS_PRIVATE_INFOS config define.

It's not possible to make only a selected subset of keywords' stats public without a plugin, and I didn't see anything obviously enabling this on our Awesome List.

I can confirm that the stats page is public.

The config setting should work without authMgrPlus enabled, but further investigation on that would require seeing more of your config (with secrets censored, of course). I'd need to set up a test instance with your settings and compare to the stock install.

my config is more or less same as the stock config, except that I added:
define('YOURLS_PRIVATE_INFOS', false);
and extra credential in the $yourls_user_passwords array

and this:

FWIW, testing the temporary addition of define('YOURLS_PRIVATE_INFOS', false); on one of my instances, the stats page I had previously tested before adding the define initially still loaded a login page in my browser until I forced a cache bypass (clicking the Reload button while holding Shift).

Possibly, when you first tried the constant (while authMgrPlus was still disabled), it appearing not to work was due to caching? Just a theory, but I did confirm that the constant works as expected. 😌

yes it might have been due to cache and having the same yourls admin dash open on normal and incognito windows at same time.

but now i see another issue, it doesnt seem to be tracking at all for example you said you clicked/test my shorted link for the stats but could you click the link aswell, dont have to view the site etc... just to see if i can track the click here. I tried clicking the link using a VPN and one of those hideme proxy site and also on my mobile using data network and it didnt increase the links clicks on the stats.

could it be due to cloudflare? i set up a cache rule to bypass the cache if the url contained 'rizbit.uk/yourls/'

The redirections themselves are even more aggressively cached than stats & static assets for the admin side, especially if you use the default 301 ("Permanent") redirect type.
