poetry self update asks for pyproject.toml file after upgrade to poetry 2.0.0

Before upgrading to poetry 2.0.0, I was able to upgrade poetry by running poetry self update. If it try this now, I am getting

Poetry could not find a pyproject.toml file in /path/to/current/folder or its parents

I was not able to locate an explanation for this change in the changelogs or #9136 . Am I missing something here? I did a fresh install following the instructions at https://python-poetry.org/docs/#installing-manually .

Regarding the original intention of running poetry self update, I guess an alternative would be to just use pip to upgrade poetry, which is fine but less convenient.

Hey this was reported earlier in #9964 and is already fixed. The next release will coming soo.
