Adding support for plugins (marker clusters)

Love the package.
Would it be possible to add functionality for plugin-support as well? In particular marker clusters.
Or provide an explanation on how to do this myself!

Hello @trygvels - this was a project to solve a short-term issue a few years ago.

The code has been shared for the common benefit, but no resources are available for ongoing support or maintenance.

Feel free to fork the package and give it a new life :-D
