v0.23.0-RC9 upload command: is tagging working as intended? #647
Comments
I found out that I works if I use only the --tag flag, without flag --session-tag. But, if I combine flags --tag and --session-tag only the tags are created - but without the assets associated with it. |
Additionally, if an asset is not uploaded because it is already found on the server, it still gets the tag (specified with the flag --tag) and the album (specified with the flag --into-album) assigned. This is confusing because it mixes existing assets with the ones newly uploaded. |
The idea come from the import of a google takeout after that the smartphone has uploaded original photos. The original is already in immich, but without google information. In that case, I think that assigning the immich photo the the google album makes sense. The tag is for pointing photos that concerns your import |
If a photo is not sent because it already exists on the server (duplicate), should the copy on the server still receive the tags indicated on the command line? |
yes |

But in my case only the tags are created but not associated with the uploaded assets. Do I do someting wrong?
I run immich-go release v0.23.0-RC9 and immich server v.1.124.2
