On Kasli, Kasli-SoC, Stabilizer, Booster

microUSB is getting outdated and cables are becoming rare.

USB C is much wider, than micro USB, so there is no place for this type of connector under Ethernet jack. So for stabilizer and thermostat micro USB is the only option.

Please keep them as micro usb. The cables are aplenty and the position under the RJ45 jack is excellent. There are other outdated things that are much more urgently replaced.

I'll add in a vote for USB-C if we can find a sensible way of positioning it (if we can't the point is moot and we should close this issue). My motivation here is less around cable availability (I agree that micro USB is still widely used and available) and more around the fact that it's not mechanically great - micro-USB can easily come loose with gentle contact / form unreliable connections. This particularly applies to Kasli where it's often useful to keep a USB cable permanently connected to flash it.

That's addressed by OTA flashing. And the USB c connection is only more robust if the mechanics are done well and the micro USB mechanics done badly. I see USB c coming undone the same way and frequency micro USB does.
