As the title says, is there any reason that the background resource generated by default with newMultispeciesParams() is different than the newTraitParams()?
The main concern is that kappa is set to $10^{11}$ for the multispecies object instead of having the value from Hartvig (2011) of 0.005 that describes kappa for $1 m^3$.
Does kappa need to be set at a high value in the multispecies object to help with species coexistence?
Cheers
