Description

What steps will reproduce the problem?

A notification popped up saying "spyder 6.01 is available" asking if I would like to download/install it. I clicked yes and it proceeded to bring me to this issue report.

Thanks for reporting. You need to manually update Spyder to fix this problem.

To do that, please close Spyder, open the Anaconda Prompt (on Windows) or a terminal (on macOS or Linux) and run there

conda install spyder=6
