I know the best way to use a library which is in Alire is to do it through Alire itself, but "alr install" is also part of the Alire lifecycle, and it would be a good idea if it is supported.
This is what I got when trying to "alr install" after a succesful "alr build":

As you can see xmlada is rebuilt, that might be its own fault.
Moreover, looking at the destination directory, only some files from xmlada have been installed (and that isn't either a usable xmlada installation):
