Using the prebuilt Nissan Leaf vehicle

The prebuilt Nissan Leaf vehicle makes it possible to get the Nissan Leaf simulation up and running in the shortest time possible. It is important to mention though, that via this method you can only use the simulation in LGSVL 2020.06, and you will only be able to modify its sensor and controller configuration. In order to use the Nissan Leaf vehicle in LGSVL 2020.06, follow these steps:

  • Download and install LGSVL 2020.06
  • Clone the nissanleaf-lgsvl repository
  • Copy the _Vehicles/vehicle_NissanLeaf_ folder structure into your /simulator/AssetBundles folder
  • Launch simulator.exe. When prompted, click Open Browser...
  • In the browser window, choose the Vehicles tab. Click Add new
  • Enter a custom vehicle name, preferably NissanLeaf. Enter the previously downloaded and relocated vehicle_NissanLeaf file's local path.
  • Click Submit. The vehicle should appear with a green Valid marking in the left bottom corner.
