Filter posts with date in the future

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I am wondering what is the best way to filter out the posts that have a date in the future?
I created a method that does this, but other than searching everywhere for allCoreContent is there any other way?

A solution would be to be able to pass a callback to allCoreContent

The starter project contain a wrapper over allCoreContent and use that across the project instead of the dependency one.
