This might seem like an unusual idea, and I'm not sure if this is just a major skill issue or if others might find this helpful, but...

I've noticed that in novels with a large cast of characters, I'm having issues with tracking them all in my head (which impacts the reading experience greatly). I also remember struggling even with 2-3 characters as an inexperienced reader.

I feel like having colored character names would make the process of interpreting the scenes of the story much easier, allowing the reader to fully focus on just the vocabulary and grammar.

it could be maybe an extension of #21 where you can highlight and tag all occurences of the same sequence of characters ... think that is the closest (even if it then maybe include false positives) what may comes to this request as the reader itself has no parsing or contextual understanding of text and i would not know what else the definition/processing of character names could look like
