The heatmap-visualization requires some configuration before it can be used. Users are required to select the items they want to visualise on both the vertical and horizontal axis and then choose a normalization variant. Then the heatmap for the currently selected sample is computed and rendered.

However, when the user switches the currently active sample and switches back, the configuration is lost. We should retain the configuration settings for the heatmap per sample to avoid this problem.
