Overview

The content audit (#2341) revealed several accessibility and usability issues in the transforming the American digital experience report. This report is being featured on the updated USWDS research page, so it is a good time to make corrections.

Updates to be made

  • Fix color contrast issues flagged by ANDI
  • Correct ARIA label issues flagged by ANDI
  • Update heading structure to ensure a better experience for screen reader users
  • Improve descriptive text used for in-text links and ensure that we are avoiding links from URLs wherever possible (link from descriptive text instead)
  • Improve IA by adding "Back to USWDS" option in upper-left corner of page
