Is it possible to combine Build-Time Data Loading with Connecting to a CMS?

What I like to do is use a CMS to define and setup the pages (as I've got colleagues I can't really explain markdown to) - so I want to move the markup to a CMS, like Directus - and when something gets changed, being able to re-build the static site - is this possible with VitePress or do I need to look elsewhere?
