The objective of this project is to develop a program which uses meteorological data to predict the best areas for mushroom hunting today. This is aimed at novice mushroom hunters (caçadors de bolets) to pick a good area to start looking; experienced caçadors typically have their own mushroom-rich locations that they keep very secret.

The prediction Boldar produces is not high enough resolution to identify a precise spot to look- instead, it should be used as a general guide in combination with other sources of information (mushroom hunting books, websites, tips from experienced caçadors, etc.).

If you are a beginner, NEVER harvest or eat any mushrooms unless an experienced mushroom hunter who knows the area says that they are OK to eat. If you cannot 100% positively identify a mushroom, leave it behind... It is simply not worth risking a slow and painful death!
