Keep getting message about Location Services access when app starts

When Amphetamine starts, I always get this message, even though I enabled the setting mentioned. Not sure if this was intended or just a check that was never added, but it seems somewhat unnecessary (and confusing) to me so I can imagine it might be unintended behavior.

I've been experiencing the same issue. Has this changed or improved for you? If so, how?

I've started noticing it again lately, although I believe there has been a brief period the issue didn't occur. So I thought maybe it's a case of regression?
But I'm not entirely sure to be honest, and I still don't know if it's actually a bug to begin with or if this was intended behavior. I'm leaning more towards the "bug" hypothesis though, since usually apps only show such messages when some required setting was not activated yet / some action needs to be done for the app to fully function.
